What to do in case of breakdown or damage

Safety tips

  • If there are injuries, provide first aid or call 112.
  • Get yourself and the other party to safety.
  • Stay calm and friendly.
  • If possible, drive to the nearest safe place.
  • If not, put up your warning triangle and turn on the flashing lights. Call so that the vehicle can be towed.
  • Note that in some countries, the involved vehicles may not be moved until the police has arrived.
  • In a safe place, if possible in the car, you can then take care of your claim using the collision form in the car or via the free app at MobielSchadeMelden.nl (only in Dutch)

Breakdown

  • In case of breakdown call +31 (0)88 99 60 111. Outside opening hours you will be redirected to the INQAR emergency center.
  • We will immediately ensure you can get back on the road as soon as possible.
  • You can also contact the alarm centre of the relevant car brand directly. You can find this number in the car’s instruction manual or maintenance booklet.
  • If you are stranded as a result of refuelling with the wrong fuel, the lessee/driver is responsible for all resulting costs.
  • In the event of problems with the loading platform of a box truck, call the breakdown service of Dhollandia 0900 45 55 455. From abroad, this is 0031 76 581 14 55.
  • In case of window damage, call outside our opening hours 0800-0828 (Autotaalglas) or 0800-7007 (Kwik-Fit).
  • Always observe the applicable traffic rules.
